Does not pick up very well. Put another $20 together and get a reliable name brand dirt vac.
The suction power is dismal on this machine. It barely picks up anything.

Economical, works great, improved USB port design.
I would recommend this dock to anyone who needs to recover their data from a hard drive, or if they want a quick and hassle free way to put data on an internal hard drive and swap it out when it is full of the data that they want to archive.
This is invaluable for those who take a lot of photos and catalogue them, or for those who use hard drives for surveillance cameras and want to archive the footage.
This case is lightweight, and it has a switch which allows quick swaps on the fly.
The USB 3 port is improved where it no longer uses the flat broad plug in, but the square plug in port that is similar in shape to the USB 1 and 2 design but is exclusive to the USB 3 design but with a better interlock to prevent accidental disruptions.

Excellent value, rugged construction.
The nice thing about this being transparent is that you can see what kind of drive and capacity that is inside, and rugged plastic construction protects the hard drive as it's held securely in the case. The transfer speeds are nice and fast, and it's totally plug and play.
The only con, is that the plastic shell is very difficult to open, so if you place a drive in it, that's pretty much going to be its home. You might be able to use a spudging tool to pry it open without breaking the case, but it's better to put a drive in it that you might keep in it permanently.
