Heartland
1 of 1 found this helpful A refreshing series given all of the tripe that now dominates television. Characters that almost step out of screen as real people, great horses and Alberta scenery, believable yet engaging story lines and safe for the family. The lead actor Amber Marshall must be one of the most under-rated actresses on the screen today. She comes across as a normal person who is a natural with the audience, the other characters, and the horses - gluing all these elements together without compromising her chastity or dignity as many over-rated and over paid "stars" do today. And the other lead actors support her very well. Yet, the real heroes of the series has got to be the story writers. I don't know how they do it - episode after episode is fresh, clean, and engaging, while the characters and the series continue to develop through each series, and from one series to the next.

You have to have a taste for good clean fun or drama without cursing, violence or immodesty, or worse, that is prevalent today.
Great value. They don't produce stuff like this today anymore.
