Room for improvement!
1 of 1 found this helpful I first encountered this booklet about 20 years ago when my young son received it as a present. Glancing through it I noticed a few scientific errors and took the trouble to point these out to the author/editor. She replied that the appropriate corrections would be considered for future editions. Recently, I was asked for an opinion of a later edition of the same book (published about 10 years ago) and noted that some of the errors had been corrected in this updated version, but not all! I do not feel, therefore, that I would wholeheartedly recommend this publication to the young readers at which it is aimed. Considering its intended readership, strict scientific accuracy should have been a priority in this otherwise well-presented little booklet.......Dr P C Wright.
