EGW K98 Mauser Base
It fits perfect on the Mauser K98. Level it with the front sight. Drill and tap the holes and the Picatinny rail is perfect. Use a 1.2 inch height ring and you can use the safety and bolt handle as is.

Inexpensive Upgrade
This is my second MAGPUL hunter stock. The first one I installed to replace the wood stock on a Rem 700 VS. Both the Rem 700 and the Ruger American showed marked improvement over the factory stocks the rifles came with. You can spend a lot of money to go the chassis way or do the MAGPUL hunter way and save money. No it's not a gonna make your stock 700 or Ruger American a one hole rifle. But if your lucky, you should see a marked improvement in accuracy.
