Great quality and packaging... in dead of winter

Wow! What a great buy.
1 of 1 found this helpful I was hesitant initially because I didn't know how to determine how powerful pink LEDs of approx 20W would be, especially since the specs say it takes 40W - alot of loss in the AC/DC converter I guess.
I was replacing 2 T5HO(36") and an additional fixture with a regular T5, so approx 100W of T5, which was a solid 'medium' lighting for my low tech 30 long that is moderately to heavily planted in swords, cryps, wisteria, sag, java fern, etc.
After a couple months use it became apparent that this was a bit more powerful than the T5s set up I had and I had to take an hour off the lighting time. Which worked great. But what was much more notable is the colors. My Snakeskin tiger barbs are stunning. I also had never seen the red in my female breeding similis cory's belly before. The bronze cryps jump out. I love this light. I am going to swap out the T5s on my other 2 tanks as a result. No more bulb aging to worry about or replacement expense, less than half the power usage, etc.
Its a nice low profile fixture. Just awesome! Highly recommended!

Disappointing
The old Python had a much better hand pump. This one leaks like crazy and is too floppy, so the pump itself will bend and break the seal to the hose and start leaking unless you keep everything straight and still. It barely stays connected to the hoses on both sides. I doubt it will last long. But I don’t see anything better on the market.
