Can be hilarious

I love Benny. The problem is, I sometimes cannot understand a word he's saying/singing. Bawdy at times but not crude.

Repetitive

I was disappointed in this book. It extols the virtues of Littauer, de Nemethy, Wright, and several others chapter after chapter. We get it. Neatness and turnout counts. We get it. Shows are geared to the lowest common denominator. Most of what is written could be condensed into two chapters. I am a fan of Morris so I would recommend his other publications over this book.

Sound quality

The picture quality on these old episodes is pretty good. Of course it's B and W. Unfortunately the sound leaves something to be desired. The characters don't speak all that clipped for being British. I'm surprised that the quality of sound in the transfer isn't better. Perhaps it can't be improved on. I wish it had English subtitles. ( Haha, English for English). I had to back it up to understand what they said. Well maybe some of the other episodes will be better. All in all its very good.
