A waste of money
0 of 1 found this helpful First of all, none of the photos of the item indicate that the hinge is a spiral which allows air to enter into the home. Secondly, it is not clear that all it does is unlock when the dog approaches, and if it is a little dog, - [I have two, a 74 lb and a 9.5 lb] the likelihood is that even when it unlocks the little dog will not be able to push the flap open. In addition to the cost of the item, I had to pay somebody to enlarge the previous opening for my previous, large, but not the same size Pet Safe door. I can return it, but I now have a ruined door. All in all I am highly disappointed at this product, particularly the lack of clarity as to how it is constructed and it's workability for a small dog.
