Does not work on over tightened fitting.
The proper way to tighten a fitting does not force the compression sleeve to bite into the copper tube. In this case this tool would ease the compression sleeve off the tube. Then a replacement fitting with new compression sleeve can be slipped on to finish the job. Unfortunately at times one finds badly overtightened fittings. Then the sleeve does not come off. In fact in my case the tool broke and the tube end was then in no shape to be reused.
So for correctly installed fittings this tool probably works well. Otherwise one is better off cutting the tube just behind the fitting. Then one can either use a push-on fitting or sweat on extension and install a new fitting on it.

worked perfectly as advertised
It worked flawlessly after I put in batteries and has worked ever since. I just do not know whether it is calibrated against a standard. I have never seen a O2 saturation level reading lower than 96%. So that makes me suspicious. But I can not say that it is a fault of this device.

Universal Oil Filter Wrench
I was frustrated because the oil filter on my Huyndai Sonata was over tightened by the shop and would not come loose when I tried to take it off. I used the smaller one of the pair in this package. I could unscrew it without right away. It is instructive to make a "dry run" by grabbing an unattached filter using the appropriate drive to appreciate how it is suppose to be used.
