confusing compared to the original game

I couldn't find how to tailor make ships because it apparently upgrades automatically once technologies are developed. Also, trade is automated as well as other game play items such as trying to steal technologies. Mostly, I couldn't find a way to tweak how to concentrate on tasks such as working on missile bases or to develop more than one technology at a time. The original game let you work on all 6 tech tracks, letting you scale how much of the overall effort goes into each of the 6 tracks. Apparently, the planet missile base part is also automated which is actually a a good thing to fend off the Antarians if U play w/ that option. I wouldn't recommend it for the 1st game, though. Building ships takes forever, so U'll probably want the game guide to figure the tech to improve that. You have to use an XP era computer (especially w/ the 4x3 graphics format compared to the newer wider displays) or it will fail to load on newer operating systems (even using the compatibility mode).

great price! I was expecting to pay more. My wife's laptop somehow developed a crack in the display. This made it a much cheaper fix than buying another laptop.
