One of the best Bonsai books ever.

This book may fit my personality and thus warp my view, but it is one of the better books on the subject I have read. It is 400 plus pages, large format with lots of line drawings and black and white photos to illustrate the points. It goes into great detail on the techniques covered. For example, how do you encourage a three to grow that thick massive trunk that suggests age? And more. It has lots of Zen like qualities.

good Mags

Standard Ruger Mark IV 22/45 mags. Work fine, fits the 22/45 Model Mark IV. Nothing that makes them not work or make them stand out. I have run about 200 rounds through each mag so they have had some usage. No problems with function.

Zenport K106 Grafting Knife

I'm happy with the knives but I was disappointed that the knives were not very sharp when they arrived. I spent maybe 30-45 minutes each putting on a proper edge so I can get the performance from them I wanted. I started on a 200 diamond grit hone and then 400 followed by 600 grit followed by 800 diamond grit honing block. Last, a leather strop with 1,000 grit to polish and finish the edge and get it sharp enough to shave with. I would have expected it to come that way.
