I purchased the collar and remote as a means to train my Dogo Argentino puppy. This item has been a life saver. The tone is loud to give her a heads up and if needed follow up with the vibrate option and she comes running every time. I have only had to use the shock one time when she crossed the road. Now she does not even think about going to the road. I never wanted to have a dog that had to be tied up. This product gives me the peace of mind that she will stay in the yard. I also take her on the pontoon and she loves to swim. She had been in the water many many times and this works like a charm. She did however, chew up the remote into pieces. With no buttons, no antenna and in half it still worked. I ordered the replacement remote. The only thing I would suggest is to include linking instructions with it. I was lucky enough to have kept the box, parts and instructions. The charge last for days and I don't have to worry about replacing the battery. This is a great training tool.
