WiFi adapter + USB port = instant internet connectivity!
I am a tech-support volunteer for anyone who needs my help. Often I find myself working on a laptop computer with a faulty WiFi circuit, rendering it incapable of connecting to the internet and therefore increasing the difficulty in fixing any other problems it may have. I bought 4 of these since I find that not only would one become invaluable in diagnosing and fixing laptops, these units could also be used with desktop computers when it was impractical to run Ethernet cable to the machine. Win10 installs the needed drivers within a minute or two in plugging it into a standard USB2 port. These do the job. They are solid units. I recommend the unit.

Great Antenna
This is a very good antenna, based on a well-known, and technically superior, design. If anyone were to search the internet, they would find several websites in which DIY plans and procedures are available to build a small “bow-tie” antenna. I, too, have built one, using a piece of wood, some coat hangers and some screws. However, it was clear that having good materials, a better reflector, signal mixer, and impedance matching balun, would make for a far better antenna than anything I would want to build. This “Dual Quad Bay Bowtie” antenna is the result.
Do your homework: there is no such thing as an “HD” or “digital” antenna. Antennas simply collect electro-magnetic energy and puts that signal onto the cable and sends it to the receiver. It is your TV receiver that determines how it decodes that signal; analog, digital, low-def, hi-def or whatever. There are some things to consider, however. The physical size of the antenna significantly influences how well it will do its job.
To be sure, there are other designs that will do nearly as well, like those which look like a big arrowhead that depends on the progressive re-radiated signal from its forward elements, plus the reflection of the signal back to the main collector. There are also some designs which are simply smaller variations of the basic “bow-tie” antenna which can do a passable job as long as the transmitting towers are not that far away – they look like a thin plastic panel, a little larger than a sheet of paper.
Also be aware that some people may not understand that this “bow-tie” antenna is intended to be installed FACE-ON toward the transmitter towers NOT edge-on, like some other antennas.
I had long ago abandoned cable TV when it was clear that I simply was no longer willing to pay for something which I can get for free over the air. I had used a smaller antenna with an amplifier but after years of being in my hot attic, the amplifier finally fried. I decided to replace that older antenna with this larger unit from RTC Electronics so I would not have to use an amp. I received it, did some simply assembly, and set it up in my attic. I then had my TV re-scan for channels. I recaptured all the channels that I had lost when my old antenna amplifier died, plus picked up a few new ones. I hadn’t considered that there was another city another 40 miles, in a straight line, beyond the transmitters in my own city.
Yeah, I know, I can’t watch HBO or ESPN, but believe me, no one can beat the price!

Good Overall – Great for the Price
1 of 1 found this helpful First, for full disclosure, after buying 6 of the “Mini” cameras, plus 1 outdoor camera, I received an email offering me a free camera if I would write a review. Please understand that the free camera did not affect my opinion, and therefore this review.

Conclusion: I rate it on its cost/benefit ratio. Nowhere in the packaging nor instructions does it say “Security” camera, only “Home Monitoring” camera. (Both the eBay and Amazon pages say “Security”, but not the app, instructions nor packaging.) This camera is “not ONVIF compliant” (google it). Since it does not come with a continuously looping digital video recording, I would not recommend it for a celebrity mansion or a business, but they work for me! Just do your homework, read the reviews and watch all the videos. -Phil K. in Indy
Note: I wrote a much longer review, but eBay kept saying "Oops. Something went wrong. Please resubmit your review", so I cut it down to the very basics. It is not all sunshine and lollipops but these are good for the price.
