Milliput What it is, and what it's not.
2 of 2 found this helpful Milliput is a product developed in England, as a means to repair Ceramic items. It is a two part epoxy putty, that when "Mixed" together, will be workable as a putty for approximately 25min., then will dry rock hard. OK, that's what it is, now here's what it's not. It is not that easy to work with. It needs to be applied in small quantities and worked quickly to your desired surface or shape. It is best shaped using warm water, but it's messy in the process! It needs to be mixed in equal proportions, and due to this, I've found that almost every box has more of the Ceramic epoxy compound, than that of the Catalyst.....so almost every box will have leftover material....unable to use!!! It is also not "Quick to dry". It usually takes up to 12 hours to cure to a hardness that will be sandable WITHOUT clogging up your ebrasive paper with the un-curred compound. It is also NOT cheap......all in all, it is something that if your patient, fairly experienced in sculpting or modeling, I'd recommend. If you are NOT, I would advise Sculpture putty of various brands to deliver a more easy and cheaper medium from which to work. I hope this helps. Jack
