Decent Tracker
I'm not a big exercise nut. I mainly just try to walk a mile or more every day so I was mainly interested in the step counter. Not sure how it measures steps but I walked about 3000 steps counting and compairing to the numbers that the tracker was giving. In some cases the counter was within 4 steps out of every 700. The total distance measurement seems to be fairly close as well. It seems a little optimistic. It resets at midnight and sometimes when I get up in the morning it shows 200 to 300 steps already or when I'm working in the garage in a limited area it will add a couple hundred steps. The heart rate monitor shows about 65 to 75 bpm. I have not tried to manually check it, nor have I done hard exercise to see if it jumps up. If I were serious about exercise, I would have paid for a better unit, but for $23 this seems to do what I want. I ordered it on Sat and got it Mon morning--apparently drop shipped thru Amazon. The box had cologne spilled on it but didn't hurt tracker. Also after 9 days use it still shows 50% battery charge. You have to download an app to set time and put in your physical size and to use some of the other features. I may start using some of the other features eventually.

Good story. Slightly hard to Follow
Good story, but to me he throws in a lot terminology that doesn't make any sense to me--to make it sound more futuristic maybe. Makes the story harder to follow. Considering how highly rated it was on most sci fi websites I was a little disappointed.

A Somewhat Disappointing Unit
2 of 2 found this helpful Primarily purchased this unit to utilize the digital tuner for driving a large analog TV set. Also the combined digital tuner, dvd and vhs player/recorders reduce the number of remotes from 5 to 2. When recording while I'm away I can record more than one channel on this Panasonic, which I could not do with the digital converter box and analog VCR. This unit takes an irritatingly long time to boot up. This is even more annoying since there is no TV signal to watch until the unit has gone thru it's startup mode. I would have at least expected the TV tuner to be on instantly. Also the cheap digital converter box I was using before, gave the current program titles as well as the upcoming shows for each channel. This high dollar unit does not (or if it does I haven't figure out how). The SD card reader only reads still pictures--no video clips or music videos. On the plus side this unit gives a good picture and picks up some weaker stations that the converter box did not. Programming seems easy enough. I bought this unit as a refurb on Ebay for roughly half of what the new price in the discount electronic stores was. I think I would have been really upset if I had paid full price for a disappointing unit. I expected more. To be fair, I have only had the unit for a few days and may eventually find some tricks and short cuts that will make this Panasonic combo unit more satisfying.
