Great replacement for my old LCD 300 kit (the black and white one)
2 of 2 found this helpful The last time I bought a Makita Dril/Driver combo was about 10 years ago. I am a plumber and used them hard and continuously for work almost every day. They never let me down. They finally gave up the ghost but, I have 4 working 18v. Lithium-Ion batteries.
I initially went right to the newest most powerful brushless Makita ads. But what do I do with 4 perfectly good batteries? We all know that battery operated tools are like the computer printer ink: the cost is in replacement , and every upgrade requires new, different batteries. So I found the BIG kit with the circular saw and sawzall and the drill & driver and another flashlite. All for about $50 more than the new brushless drill & driver combo. Its still an upgrade - to me, and now I have 6 - perfectly serviceable batteries that all interchange. Sure, I may have to buy more batteries down the road but I feel way ahead of the game. Happy Plumber.
