The Best for Melasma, UVA Protection
2 of 2 found this helpful This sunscreen, when applied in moderate layer, dries clear. It’s the only sunscreen that does not allow the spread of melasma, or tanning, for days at the beach, without a hat, in and out of water, windsurfing (no sunglasses either), for myself. (my body is protected by a wetsuit) Apply on bare, oil free skin. On top, I use dermablend foundation and powder, to look nice, and the water actually beads off my face when I fall (alot). I do not reapply since it’s under makeup. I take it off at night, after full day at beach, no tan, no spread of melasma. I’ve tried zinc, US sunscreens, etc...they don’t block the UVA enough. I won’t tan, but the melasma will darken. This doesn’t cause heat, redness, melasma darkening, etc although it’s chemical. I used this before that debate became popular. I wouldn’t use it if your skin is compromised, irritated due to chemicals to fade, exfoliate the melasma. I read some studies that suggest zinc also absorbs some heat from light...I use this because it works. US sunscreens have no ratings for UVA protection yet, and the UVA blockers they use aren’t safe and aren’t stable, and it’s the UVA that darkens my melasma.

A Must for Melasma
5 of 5 found this helpful After using sunscreens that didn’t allow tanning but still darkened my melasma (poor UVA protection, not regulated in the US, I tried chemical and natural sunscreens) I started using Anthelios XL. It did the trick. No tan and no increase in melasma coloring.
This new formulation is much better. No white cast, even when I slather it on my face, and a finish that just requires a touch of powder afterwards. I’m glad they improved the previous Anthelios XL.

BSCD really is better in this case
I bought this cd when it came out...I always thought the vocals were almost drowned out by the guitar. I found a flac file, it was a bit better but the sound quality when turned up in volume was horrible. I tried both formats on three different speakers and they all sounded muddy. I bought this BSCD and it makes a world of difference. I’ve heard SACD’s and hoped this would sound as good. It does. You can hear every instrument clearly and no sound is competing for another’s. Turned up very loud (on Sony system) it still retains clarity. I was reading skeptical reviews of BSCD, but all I can say is on this particular recording, it works well.
