Excellent device
1 of 1 found this helpful The device was in mint condition. One can tel the care the unit was given by the original owner. The screen is marvelous, it has no dead pixel, the touchscreen is working all along, and the pen just needed some reconfiguration a a replacement AAAA battery to get to work again. Overall it was a good purchase.

Self contained, excellent build quality.
The device is compact and kind of heavy (it feels solid). There are some drivers to install in order to make it work on MacOS and Windows (these are the OS I've tried). The only drawback I could find is I wish the USB connector were a little bit longer.

A terrible mistake.
First the device arrived with a broken screen in the upper left corner. Because of this, the upper "rows" of the screen were unresponsive to the touch, making de device useless as a tablet. One can still us it as a desktop, but it looses is value.
It was impossible to detect wether or not the device was broken in the transport or not.
Besides, the battery didn't last much, and the i7 processor uses to turn on the noisy fan quite often.
I wouldn't recommend Surface Pro 3 with i7 processors because of this fan issue (I assume it is normal), and I also recommend to ask for battery recharging cycles of the device prior to bidding.
