Funny, different, silly, highly entertaining; nothing else quite like it
I loved this show on ABC and am very glad to have it on DVD to watch whenever I want. It's completely different than anything else on TV and very entertaining and downright funny. The musical numbers are great, the characters are memorable, and it's just plain fun to watch. There's some "Monty Python"-like silliness involved (I'm a big Python fan) and it's impossible to just watch a couple minutes... you're compelled to watch the entire series. When it was on TV, I was happy that each episode was only 30 minutes because it kept things moving along at a great pace. There were only 8 episodes each season so the entire run of the show was a mere 8 hours but they sure packed a lot into those hours. If you want to watch something entertaining, funny, well-acted, and fast-paced that has great music and dialogue or if you're just in the mood for something "completely different" (a Python phrase), "Galavant" will most definitely fill the bill. I watched it all the way through in one sitting and I'm planning to watch it again this weekend. I highly recommend it and I hope that everyone who purchases it enjoys it as much as I do.

Family entertainment, beautiful scenery, simple storytelling
I remember watching these movies back in the day. Loved them then and still love them now. Granted, the plots in all 3 movies do overlap but that's to be expected given the nature of the movies. It was a little jarring to see the daughter in the 2nd and 3rd movies being played by a different actress with no explanation given (I guess the character had a major growth spurt!) but frankly, she was less annoying that the original one. The scenery is beyond spectacular and I get a very strong urge to take a trip to the mountains... until I see the bears, wolves, and cougars! These movies are great for the entire family and it's nice to watch something that's simple and wholesome.

LOVE this show!!
I'm new to the show as I just started watching it last year on Lifetime and got completely hooked. I've seen several earlier seasons on that channel but I enjoyed them again on DVD, especially the Bonus Features. I'm up to Season 11 on the DVD set and it's great to see what's been going on since the last episode they showed on Lifetime. I should have been watching this show all along but like they say, "better late than never"!
