A decent lens at a great price
1 of 1 found this helpful It's not the sharpest lens, nor is it the fastest, but you can get good pictures with it and it's actually affordable for hobbyists and people who don't take photos for a living. This, plus the kit lens and maybe a wide angle lens will handle everything a neophyte will ever need.

Nice for astrophotography
4 of 4 found this helpful The view is sharp out to the edge in my XT8G, and the zoom works well (although it's not quite parfocal - be prepared to adjust your focus a bit after you zoom) but the FOV is pretty narrow - especially at the 24mm setting. I'm just starting to try photography with it using my Canon EOS 1000D, and even though I'm new to astrophotography I'm already getting decent images and learning a lot. There's some vignetting when using a t-ring, the EOS and this eyepiece - I've ordered some M42 extension rings and will see if that helps with that and with image sizing. The built-in threads on the Celestron 8-24mm zoom eyepiece makes it a good tool for Newtonian owners who want to use their DSLR camera with their telescope.

It's the extra battery your drill didn't come with...
Great battery - bought it as a spare for my Tacklife 12V drill. I love the drill, but it only came with a single battery. Since it can recharge in about an hour, you never have to wait and go without your drill if you get a second battery.
