Toy, Not Model
This colorful, well made toy is just that, a rather expensive toy for a kid to run in the sandbox. However, it is boxed and presented as a model of the "Spacebus." It is fairly close to 1:43 in scale, but since there seems to be no 1:1 original, who can be sure. It suggests Buckminster Fuller's Dymaxion and other "cars of the future" of the late 30s and the early post-war years. But without an historical base, it has no value to collectors of car models.

Greenlight's "Starsky & Hutch" '76 Ford's a winner!
1 of 1 found this helpful Greenlight has become well known to 1:43 collectors primarily through their fine modern Jeep models and their "Fast & Furious" movie examples, all at popular prices. This new foray into the world of television memories is a fine entry into even more popularity among adult collectors.
First, the lines, scale, and overall impact is accomplished beautifully. The memorable white on red paint hits a standard by which others models will be measured. Next, the detailing is well above that expected in this price range. For instance, the red light that was obviously just placed above the passenger side has its cord streaming into the dashboard through the rolled down window. That's special!
Finally, the display and packaging is well done. This $20 range model will be compared with collectors' editions that are commonly four or more times that expensive, and in my opinion this '76 Ford memory will lead the pack. Well done, Greenlight!
