Seeing is believing.
The tripod is a major improvement over the included base-tripod that comes with the Celestron NexStar 8SE. To look at it, in person, is almost mind blowing. The photographs simply do not do it justice, all by itself... you have to stand it side-by-side with the original to appreciate the improvements. I did put it on three tri-dolly's to more easily move it around when the telescope is fully assembled and weighs over 75-lbs.
