Billet Aluminum 4 Barrel Carburetor 2-Circuit Metering Block (Sold in Pairs)

ProComp Metering Block Review

Billet aluminum block design is well thought out, nicely machined, well fitted out and attractively finished. Power valve channel restrictions are tuneable, a feature generally not included in other blocks. Idle feed restrictions are correctly located. There are five emulsion bleeds, the most I've seen in any block. All bleeds are 0.023, easily enlarged to the desired tuned size. Bleeds are 6-32 thread with head. Headed bleeds in emulsion well add to desired turbulent flow. Purchase of readily available blank bleeds are necessary as they are not included. PVCR bleed heads had to be ground-off slightly to allow insertion of power valve. Main jet bosses had to be ground-off slightly to clear fuel bowl and gasket. 0.031 Kill Bleeds are machined-in and not adjustable. I found no aluminum shavings within the blocks. A more durable material such as cast zinc might have been selected. Overall I rate these blocks 4 out of 5 and are recommended. I will buy them again.

Accurate

Started 1st crank. Idles perfectly. The only reason for a 4 out of 5 rating is the trim line spool. Tap to advance trim line is a pain to load, breaks line inside spool. Spool is a very bad design. (NOTE: This problem is not unique to Husqvarna) I replaced it with manual load dual line head. Much better!!. I can now use .095 polymer coated braided steel trim line. Wow. Way, way, triple way much, much better. It's almost a brush cutter now. I worked well over an hour on very heavy brush, and only lost one trim line. I've adapted a cheap edger attachment. 128CD is a great power head. Highly recommended.

Works great right out of the box!

Most range of any remote I've owned. Comes with two controllers, but the second one is not required. Actuates the remotes on the far side of the house, through a half dozen walls. Great product; great value; will buy again; highly recommended.
