Pentax Q Adapter: A mixed blessing. Good price.
A "yes or no" rating is not sufficient to describe the overall quality of this adapter. As with many non-Pentax- manufactured adapters, the user will encounter considerable difficulty in removing the adapter from the Pentax Q camera. Adapter removal is a learned technique which is NOT AT ALL the same as with a Pentax manufactured Q lens. Once learned, however, removal can be relatively easy. It involves a careful lifting of the adapter from the point opposite the red dot on the Q camera and, like I said, has to be learned. Needless to say, there are absolutely zero instructions for this removal procedure. At $20, the adapter is a good value for the price and I found it worked as a Q adapter for all full size Pentax bayonet mount lenses I tried with it.
