Tichy Express trucks
Tichy products are normally excellent and these trucks are no exception. This is the fourth box of 10 pair that I have ordered over the last year or so. These are great looking trucks and resemble very closely a style of trucks that the PENNSY used (close enough for me anyway!). I toss out the plastic wheel sets and replace them with Intermountain metal 33" wheel sets; great combination. One clarification though; these are rigid frame trucks, not truck kits. I do not like the truck kits as they do not stay together very well. The right frame versions are much better.

Steward ALCO C628
Excellent running, highly detailed model. Stewart models have had a great history of well running and expertly detailed model locomotives and rolling stock. I purchased the locomotive with total confidence that it would be very satisfactory, which it certainly is. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I could find one decorated for C&NW.

Weller soldering station
Had to order a new hand piece because I left one of the tips in WAY TOOO long and was unable to remove it and destroyed the hand piece (dumb, dumb, dumb). The new one works great and this time I'll remove the tip on a regular basis to avoid having it freeze up again. This is a great soldering tool for the model maker working in brass and/or soldering electronics. Love the ability to "dial" in the temperature I want.
