Ambitious and complex...throughly engaging...for a serious not casual viewer seeking quick and easy escapism
4 of 4 found this helpful If you're looking for a movie that has a straightforward and easy to decipher plot, this is NOT for you. The movie is complex with the spiritual concept of reincarnation connecting the various stories over hundreds of years. There's also an underlying theme of enslavement in obvious and more subtle forms throughout the chapters in the movie. This is the type of movie that needs to be viewed several times to understand and appreciate. So if you have the time, patience and intelligence, this movie will turn out to be a very rewarding experience
