New Life

Expensive but worthy of the extra features
Make sure you have a white (neutral) wire in your switch box, you'll need it to work properly. I think it will work without the ground (green/bare) wire but I connected mine anyway. What sets this unit apart is the way it handles dusk to dawn applications. Other models you set the sunrise/sunset On/Off time. The problem is, as those times change, you have to constantly adjust your On/Off times. This unit uses lattitude longitude settings for your location. and automatically adjusts those times throughout the year as it changes. The device is large so make sure you have adjusted your wires inside the box to accomodate this unit, it will fit, but it's tight. It also has a manual On/Off swittch that you can use anytime and doesn't affect your Dusk to Dawn program.I've only had it installed for about a month so I can't speak on longevity or reliability over the long term.In my application its a great case for a swtich that controls multiple outside lights and the first light in series is inside an entryway and my fixture doesn't have a great spot for a dusk to dawn photo sensor. If you've replaced single pole or 3 way light switches before you can probably do this.
