Versatile portable CD player
This is a nice CD player in that it plays CR-R mp3 discs as well as regular CD-R CD discs. It has a buffer to reduce skipping when the Coby is vibrated, and a bass boost to help weak earbuds sound better. It also has a random play mode. The unit runs on two AA batteries for quite a long time.
The negatives are that the display is very tiny, and that the random play only has a few different sequences of randomness.
The reliability of my first unit has been excellent; this is my second unit

A good vocal mic for the price
This is a good vocal mic with a high end rise that makes for a crisp sound. It is clearer than a Shure SM-58, which has a rise around 3 KHz whereas this mic has a rise around 5 KHz. This mic is supposed to have less proximity effect but I cannot verify. This mic is similar to a Sennheiser E825 mic, but with a HF response limit of 12 KHz instead of 15 KHz. All in all a good vocal mic for the price.

Excellent with only one fault
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an excellent sounding unit, due to its high-quality output sound amp. This amp goes easily puts out 30 Hz bass, and natural, clear treble. The unit is easy to use, has an equalizer, plays songs randomly, and has other features I don't use. Best of all it runs on a single AAA battery for a long time.
The only con is that it can make 'pop' noises before each song. This is not software, but rather occurs only if your headphones have a very high input impedance, such as the Bose QC-15. If your headphones are normal, and have a CD resistance less than about 200 ohms, then the pops don't occur.
I recommend this player; I dealt with the pops by adding a 200 ohm resistance in parallel with my headphones!
