What you need to know in concise form
All of the Brady handbooks make for great reading. Every entry has some interest, usually about those thinbgs which one though one knew but just on the surface. Details, outlets to obtain them and other references make it very complete. Even the old ones offer historical value. I have not found the newer edition to be that much better than this one. Given the new price, what can be obtained on eBay is simply not to be resisted. If you find one, buy it. You be hard pressed to put it down. The entries are easy to follow, written almost in laymans terms.

Ferrox is Superior
2 of 2 found this helpful This product is elemental iron. As such it enters the stomach ( were it gets absorbed ) and quickly dissolves into Iron (II) which is the only it can enter the bloodstream. Most other iron supplements start as Iron (II) which upon reacting with any oxygen, quickly becomes Iron ( III ) which cannot. Therefore, I maintain, Ferrox is more efficient. In addition, Iron(II) supplements can be irritating to the stomach.

Kinesiology of Exercise by Michael Yessis
This is the best book about exercise I have yet read. Simple, graphic, and with side bits of information about which muscle groups are being used and strenthened. With it, one can extrapolate how other exercises can be of benefit. Especially noteworthy are the desriptions of how repetitions work on the physiology.
