Excellent rings!
1 of 1 found this helpful These rings are very well made and very nicely finished; perfect for my new 17 HMR. I was having a hard time finding rings that were low enough and these fit perfectly. I like to mount my scopes with the objective as close to the barrel as possible without touching. I don't lap my rings, I just make sure I buy quality rings and that they are mounted on a good base. I always use one piece rails and bed the rail to the top of the action making sure that it's perfectly flat. Also, before mounting the scope, I center the reticle optically. You could center the reticle by counting clicks, but it needs to be centered optically because that's how you're going to aim. Anyway, these rings are excellent in every way. Some say they're a bit heavy, but the outstanding quality is well worth the very small amount of extra weight they add.
I've attached some pictures. The rifle is a Savage B17 FV. I bedded it into a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock, bedded the scope rail using JB Weld, and mounted a Bushnell Engage 6-24x50 in these rings. It's an excellent, tack-driving set-up!
