The lads in the darkness.
As my family was originally from the area and included a number of miners it was a jog for the memory. It brought back the history of the area and the society it engendered, especially the closeness of family and village. It covered the history and politics of the industry, and its eventual demise from economic realities. I'm one of the diaspora of that reality.
