Exceptionally well written!!
Exceptionally well written. Keeps your interest and difficult to put down. Brown is a master, she doesn't disappoint.

An onion it has several layers, stories & depths, as you put together the motives of each player.
Movie seems simplistic but the writer gives you clues " almost every line of dialog" of every character's point of view, beliefs and motives, in this complex time of change on several fronts. Change for the Indians, politics, new inventions, women having opinions, the war between the sexes, and of injustice. The old and the new butting heads on all fronts. The writer doesn't show he tells and it's up to you to put the pieces together. I will watch it several time. Like a simple onion it has several layers, several stories, several depths, as you put together the pieces.

Great movie. Tom Hanks brings realism to the western.
We really liked this movie. Watched it 4 times since we got it. Realistic western that keeps you thinking after its over. Highly recommend.
