    Venice Turpentine, 16 oz (sc-362239)

    For tender soles
I have not found a better treatment yet for tender soles on horses. You can harden soft, punky, crumbly and tender soles noticeably in one application, and maintain those soles with regular applications. This is a messy product, and it clings to everything it touches, but what it can do for your horses makes it all worthwhile. I advise keeping Venice Turpentine in your grooming products along with good quality hoof dressing. Remember - No foot, no horse!

Riane Eisler's "The Chalice and the Blade"
I am so enthralled with this book that I have bought several copies for friends. It is a bit scholarly for some people's taste, but is a fascinating and well-written discussion of the historical perspective on the patriarchal versus matriarchal cultural models and the application to modern times and peoples. I highy recommend it for anyone interested in gender roles in culture and history. A great companion book for additional study is Leonard Shlain's "The Alphabet Versus the Goddess", which uses the left brain/right brain model to compare patriarchal and matriarchal societies over time and explains the cultural and historical origins of our current medical and mathematical paradigms. Both provide much food for thought and hope for the future of human society.

Pain Free by Pete Egoscue, Roger Gittines (1998)
As a learning tool for the functional use of one's body, this is an excellent guide. It provided me with some useful insights into what is going on with my structural system...I wish I had had this information years ago! While I consider it excellent, I did find the presentation redundant, and whould like to see the information presented in a different format for my own learning style. Regardless, the informational content is clear and understandable. I highly recommend this volume for anyone desiring to work to realign his or her structural system and benefit from pain relief.
