Johnny Cash at his worst!
The seller that sold this to me is an awesome person to deal with anytime. But “As a super big Johnny Cash fan this is by far not only one of the worst Christmas albums I've ever heard but one of the worst Johnny Cash albums I've ever heard. To start with he never plays his guitar on any the songs. The songs are all accompanied by a church sounding organ & other orchestra instruments. This is so far removed from the familiar sound of Johnny Cash & his guitar. And, to make matters worst Johnny himself plays second banana on vocals for many of the songs which are backed by a church choir. And if that isn’t bad enough there’s this ridiculous
unnecessary dialogue going on between every other song. If you’re looking for something that is very church sounding in Christmas music this is the album for you, but if you’re looking for some good old country sounding Christmas songs I suggest you look else where. Johnny is a super big disappointment here. Chet Aktins has a great country sounding Christmas album from 1961, one of the best albums I have in my collection. "Christmas with Chet Akins". I believe it’s available on CD.”

WOODSTOCK a great ending to the wild 60's
1 of 1 found this helpful What can one say! It's WOODSTOCK! it's for real. It;s what really happened and was captured on film back in 1969. It's a great sociology lesson for today's younger generation that wasn't alive back then to see what the kids of that generation were like, etc.. Oh yeah and the music is great also! If only the Beatles had shown up, it's about the only thing WOODSTOCK lacked!
