Laughably Bad Movie.
1 of 1 found this helpful Folks, this movie is awful -- which is why I like it. The success of "Purple Rain" went to his head and the original director was either fired or left, so Prince directed it, and probably did the screenplay as well. So it's a total ego-piece that by design, or not gives insight into his way of thinking at the time which alone makes it valuable. I'm not sure which film was worse -- this one or "Grafitti Bridge", but everything that came after that was a concert film.

10-Year-Old Nephew Gets To Shred And No One Else Can Hear Him
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this as a gift for my nephew, who was taking guitar lessons. His Mom and Dad bought him an acoustic for Christmas, and I later gave him an old Washburn electric (to keep him away from my Strats). Problem was, he could only play it here because I had amps. Mom and Dad didn't want to hear that noise. I've owned headphone amps before, and this one seemed to be a cut above. The ones I used to use came pre-modeled for certain amp sounds. Kid doesn't care about that -- he's just learning to play guitar, and I have yet to expose him to The Greats. I would rather that he just noodle around, experiment and figure what sounds good to him. Once he develops a repertoire and wants guidance, he will have the freedom of my extensive CD library. The Nady Axehead has onboard effects. Don't know what they are now because he ran home to try it out and I never saw it again. But if he's happy, I'm happy... and he is, so, Mission Accomplished.

My Wife Loved It So Much, She Took It! And I Ordered It For ME!
I'd love to tell you more about it, but my wife took it from me the night it arrived to place in her office the next day. And she ain't down with the action figures, but I guess she was impressed enough with it. I have shelves full of Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Captain America etc., model kits and figures in my basement. But this and the 1989 Bat-Wing (which I will build for her soon) are the only "nerd" products in which she expressed any interest at all. Maybe I'll just buy another one, I don't know...
