FInd the original and pay the price - worth it!
This review may or may not be useful to a potential purchaser of Havana by Aramis. The original Havana was released 1994, designed by Edouard Flechier as a powerhouse follow-up to another of his creations: Montana Parfum d'Homme 1989, also a good fragrance. In perfume terms this is an aromatic fougere bonded to a dark chypre, incredibly masculine and not for the timid, and one of the last of its kind. Here's the thing: perfume manufacturers always reformulate their goods, because of changes of availability in ingredients, increased costs of some components, and because of changing toxicity regulations (IFRA). As a rule, whenever you find something you really like. buy as much of it as you can, because subsequent versions never improve and usually go downhill. My opinion, shared by many on blogspots like basenotes and fragrantica, is that the current version of Havana by Aramis is a pale imitation of the attention-getting woman-magnet original. What I bought here was a slightly-used version of the original from a no-hassle seller in Texas, in the conga-drum-shape bottle minus the tropical-print box. I paid above average price, and every spray is worth it. The current version is OK, a nice fragrance really, but nothing special. To any guy who may read this: buy cheap = smell cheap, look into the good stuff and spend the bucks! - Daniel O'Donnell in Portland Oregon

Why you should buy this
This is a high-quality goniometer suitable for measuring range of motion, and for making other observations of joints and the spine. It is heavy flexible clear (not colored) plastic, the numbers are large and easy to read, and the central picot is sturdy. This could also be used for compass hiking, and stargazing! This book was published in 2014. There are plenty of reviews elsewhere. This was one of the New York Times '10 Best Books' 2014, and a National Book Award finalist. If that does not settle things for you, you are probably illiterate. Anthony Doerr is one of the better authors you can follow, for certain ... so many authors write with the idea of having their books turned into films that there is very little real literature these days. - Daniel O'Donnell in Portland OR
