EPS-205EX SAS, 36-205EX (SAS/B) for EPC-U205C mkIII
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a fantastic replacement on my Technics EPC-U205C mkIII cartridge! Sounds amazing! This is the SAS on boron Jico EPS-205EX SAS needle 36-205EX (SAS/B) stylus. Sounds my detailed then the original and very smooth. Would buy another one as a spare or would try the Ruby cantilever version.

Great step up for my V15 Vmr cartridge!
Fantastic stylus replacement for the Shure V15 Vmr. In many ways a big “modern” improvement in sound quality. A bit of a high frequency rise about 16.5k which caused some brightness and sibilances. Had to change the phono input loading from its standard 47K/150pf to 26K/770pf. Smoothed out the top end very nicely. Excellent detail and imaging. Nice tight articulate bass. Really enjoying this cartridge! Very high quality stylus and a step forward. Worth the money.

AT-LH18 on Saec/Fonolab 308L
Excellent headshell. Using it with a Fonolab 308L tonearm with the Direct Connect Bayonet. Meaning you remove the headshell wires and connector and use the Fonolab direct connect bayonet so the tonearm wires connect directly to the cartridge. Sounds amazing! The only hard part is keeping the azimuth right otherwise fantastic. Would buy it again.
