SONOS ARC SOUNDBAR / NEW / BLACK

Great product, especially if you already have Sonos speakers

This is a well made product. I held off buying a soundbar becuase I thought that it might impede the view of the bottom of my TV screen, but I have no issues with this product. I already had two Sonos Play1 speakers in my sitting room and it was fairly easy to remove their association and connect them as rear speakers to the Arc unit. My TV has an eArc connection socket (Samsung 55" smart TV about 8 years old) so connecting power and data to the Arc was simplicity itself. I saw one or two reviews indicating that audio delay (lip sync) could not be adjusted, but the lip sync on my system is perfect without trying to find any settings for it. The results are outstanding. The bass is well extended compared with the TV speakers, and surround sound (5.1) enabled films and programmes add an extra dimension to listening pleasure. Content is mere stereo now sounds relatively flat because of the lack of back channels, but I guess you can't win them all! All in all a brilliant improvement compared with standard TV sound output. Connectiond was a breeze and would be for anyone with either eArc or optical connections available. Setup wasn't completely painless, but relatively easy using the Sonos app on my Android phone. Thoroughly recommended.
