Great vintage amp
U.S. Amps are classics. It is always a gamble buying vintage electronics, but this one functions perfectly, and sounds excellent.

Nostalgia
These Sparkomatic speakers are “ new old stock”. Sparkomatic has long been out of business, or acquired, I think by “ Altec Lancing”. I had these when I was a youth, they were my introduction to loud car stereos in the mid 80s. These are not like any other speakers I have seen. They have their own built in amplifier. So each speaker must be hooked up to a switched power source. It was good idea, but poorly executed, probably to fit a price point. I am surprised that no other brand did not try this idea, with higher quality components. I would not attempt to fit these into any of my current vehicles, they all have the best the after market has to offer. What I will do with them is probably fabricate a box and fashion a sort of shelf stereo for my garage…as I have done so many times before.I bought these because I had them when I was kid, I really have no use for them…but I like them…I might buy another pair

A classic
They don’t make them like this anymore. There is an ease of use that has been lost on today’s head units. There is a simple bass and treble that is controlled with the dial…no touchscreen with a complicated eq that you must cycle through several screens to access. The sound doesn’t cut out as you adjust the equalization. Far more user friendly than contemporary head units, which are unnecessarily complicated.
