Sometimes other people’s words can express what you, yourself cannot.
This products has plenty of potential. I do have in mind to put it on a wall, it met all my expectations, but is larger than what I had anticipated, as a result I am having to rethink where I am going to display it and how. 🤔 The colours and everything are brilliant, You are only limited by one’s imagination. I will most definitely get it onto a wall, to do the words justice, and remind me every time I pass them.

buildings, places, people and animals come alive.
I bought this for my husband who is an architect, but unfortunately he can no longer draw or design, due to an illness. I thought it would be good therapy for him, to hold a pencil again and just join the dots. He has a ruler at hand for the straight lines as his hand is not so steady for the long strokes. It has been good brain training for him, I bought him different thicknesses of lead pencils, he quite enjoys doing two pages a day and see whatever it is on the page come alive. He feels as though he has accomplished something, and that is very good for his head space. There is an index at the back which gives you the title of what it is supposed to be. He particularly likes the famous people and buildings. This is not a childs book, definitely geared more to adults, with a view to de stressing, or in our case re training the brain, one dot at a time. We have had two of these books both very good, this one Presence & Serenity, Highly recommend them.

A look into Royal life just prior to WWI. Great production, fine cast.
This movie is most informative as an insight to a member of the Royal Family who was not very well known. A very good production of a series I believe that was done for TV, in two parts. Queen Mary and George V youngest son John, suffered an afflication which we know as epilepsy. It was not well known back in Victorian times. John was kept separated from the rest of the family and was looked after by his Nanny ( Gina McKee)who gives a wonderful empathic performance. John's closest brother was George who understood him. The doctor's thought that John was also retarded, and feared that anyone knowing this would see the Royal Family in a somewhat negative light. Seeing that Queen Mary and George V were NOT exactly known for their heart warming paternal/maternal nature ( far too imperious ) Is it any the wonder that the royal family had problems? This movie does do justice to a little known subject and I would recommend it to anyone. The Germanic and Russian genetics come into play and it is quite easy to see how George V reinvented his family name to Windsor. Only just touched on, one can also realise why from this generation onwards the royal family were told to go out and marry commoners. With the Germanic side of psychological problems were becoming common from inter-marriage between the main European dynasties and the threat of Haemophilia from the Russian side. From an historical standpoint the movie tries to look at the Royal Family life prior to WWI and the ensuing events that led to that conflict. Some very fine performances from the cast. The interaction between the two actors who play Prince John and Prince George are to be commended.
