Thorough and beautiful Book
Great photos and so much more to these sets than I ever imagined. If you like Tiffany, you will love this book!!

It's Black!!
This dye tint works great. However, I started out buying the small size and I went through it faster than I thought I would. I use 7 drops per cup full rather than the three that were recommended. I got a 2 oz bottle. Great result.

A Natural Beauty
1 of 1 found this helpful I recently purchased a 2003 Natural finish Gibson Custom L-5 CES Electric Archtop Guitar. It's common knowledge that guitar makers use their best woods for natural finished guitars in that there's no hiding any flaws with a natural finish. This guitar is AMAZING!! In tone, in playability, in attention to detail and the woods are out of this world!! The solid book matched spruce top is flawless and just the best tightest grain I've ever seen. And the quilted and flamed solid carved maple back and sides is as good as I've ever seen.
Occasionally I'll read a review where someone feels that their Gibson that they paid top dollar for has let them down, but not this one. I'm a luthier myself, building high end custom basses and I know what a guitar should be. This one completely hit the mark in every way. This guitar was built with love and amazing skill and great attention to detail. For all of us who bemoan how things aint what they used to be and things just aren't made like they were once upon a time, (yes I'm as bad as anyone else at this) this Gibson is a pure example of how that's not always true. American craftsmanship is alive and well in this one.
It makes me enormously happy to play this guitar. It's expressive, super easy to play, intonation is perfect, and it does what I think a guitar should do, make you sound better than you are!! I love it, I have nothing bad to say about this guitar!
