Good Tubes

Sounds as good or better than Mesa branded tubes that I was comparing them too. Amplifier is Meas Boogie Express 2:25 Plus. This amp has a fixed bias (set at a medium range, so make sure you tell your tube supplier that you want at least a medium bias tube. That being said most guitar amps (including this one) that use EL84s run the bias current to the max, So a heavy duty high bias version would be even better.

Best tubes of 61 tried!

I put these lovely tubes in V1, and V2 of my Mesa 5:25Plus. They are quieter than most of the others tried. The soundstage, and tonal accuracy was amazing. Plus they could handle a much higher gain without breaking up. I know I am putting HI-FI tubes in a guitar amp, but I don't go along with the notion that tube guitar amps should be noisy and distorted. Mine was on the clean channel. Now the distortion on the blues channel is subtle and sweet. Also the seller is very conscientious. Sincerely Randall
