Best set Bachmann makes. DCC is great!
2 of 2 found this helpful This is an amazing set and well worth the money. Includes two different DCC Locos, three high quality cars, a loop of good track and the DCC controller.
These are not toys but detailed models.
Both locos run great and pull lots of cars. Directional lighting is impressive.
The cars have metal wheels, great couplers, nice paint and plenty of detail.
The track is the best of this type. Nickel silver for perfect electrical contact. It locks together tightly and stays together. This track works on carpet or any flooring and even a temporary layout on a bed.
All together just a great set as is or a good start in the hobby.
If you add up the price of all the pieces this set costs less than half what it is worth.

Atlas Quality
Atlas makes nice cars. They're accurate models, well detailed with excellent paint markings including end numbers. They're weighted to run well and the trucks and metal wheels are friction-free. They may cost a little more than other brands but are close to flawless and worth the money.

Very nice O-scale 3-rail freight car.
Detailed with accurate markings, excellent scale-size freight car. Runs great and looks good with other scale cars. 10 stars!
