It's great
Just what I wanted. Fits neatly in my music studio below my Ableton Push device. A positive light touch. Has a good backlit keys and doesnt gobble batteries.

If you want a mp3 player it has to be an ipod.
Never been a fan of Apple products but if you want a mp3 player it has to be an ipod. It small and compact and very multifunctional. its like having an iphone without the phone component. ( although the series 3 doesnt have a built in microphone ) I dont like the blocking of the bluetooth to non apple products but apparently this can be jailbroken to work as a fully connectable bluetooth device.
Having resisted buying into Apple for a long time, finally, we gave in and bought ipods. My Wife and I have one each and various docking stations ( one in car, hifi, and portable unit. they are great. i wished id bought one sooner. it has loads of neat navigation apps which are excellent for sailing. I have a phone im happy with, i just wanted the functional abilitys of Apples apps without a phone or another contract.

edit - I will say though than itunes is one of the clunkiest useless program i have ever used. Not keen on having it infest my system. there are alternatives if you google a bit.
As i said before not a fan of apple, mainly due to the software in general, horrible interface... Their computers and operating systems are overpriced junk, maide principly for people who know nothing of computers.
Having said this i still love my ipod.
