Re-birth of a Schumacher 22 year old battery charger

Schumacher doesn't sell repair parts for their chargers, but others do, at a high price. My old charger was tried and ready to go to charger heaven. When she went, it was quick. I panicked and purchased a new automatic charger almost intermediately. My chargers are wheeled and take up some space, so I started thinking what could I save from her lifeless form. After bisecting her internals I felt that she could be saved. After web surfing and finding out what diodes do and the cost of repair the one vendor wanted; I went on a search through eBay and found 2 VISHAY 70-AMP DIODES. A simple cut and solder job and my old dead charger came back to life for under $10.00. A great product that i didn't know anything about and now I'm better informed on electronics then before. My old SE-2001 has a sister now and thanks to Vishay diodes maybe another 20 years of use which will far outlive me.

Philips Norelco great products

Quiet, slow cutting so it doesn't heat up the cutters. A really great product for the price. Don't even try the China products that look like Philips Norelco. They are junk, so don't waste your money.
