Flawless Installation
The 503 series Flushmate unit we purchased is a replacement for the original 501-A series unit used at our summer home. The original unit was manufactured in 1995 and worked flawlessly until October 2020.
The replacement unit was installed into the tank very easily following the manufacturers detailed instructions. Proper installation was critical since we weren't exactly sure how the new unit would fit into the older toilet tank. All of the mechanical clearances/heights with respect to the older unit are maintained so I expect everything will work properly when the tank is reinstalled on the toilet in Spring 2021.
