An excellent refurbished console.
4 of 4 found this helpful I was a bit skeptical as to how good the wireless controller would be, and aside from having to figure out how to wake the controller from sleep mode (hit START, took a while before I accidentally did that) I have been impressed with just how well it works. The refurbished console itself works just as well as my original PS2 did all those years ago. It has been wonderful to have a means of playing the handful of games that my backwards compatible PS3 doesn't like, and before you recommend emulators most of them are on the list that you have to use special compatibility features or PCSX2 has problems with (and even with using those settings they still have some definite problems), emulators aren't always the answer, especially if you can get a good refurbished console instead like this one.

An excellent GBA game storage case.
The cases are of a sturdy plastic, and are well designed to not accidentally fall open. The cut-outs in the foam lining for the GBA game cartridges are perfectly sized and shaped to hold them securely, so they don't just fall out on you and should stand up to many, many times of moving them in and out. The only thing I can say they lack is a designed label spot so you can list which games are in a particular case without opening it, for those of us who have enough games to need more than one case. Overall it is still better than I expected, and is a great value for the price.

An innovative RPG with excellent enjoyability.
I was very excited to be able to find this here, as this is one of the RPGs I have the fondest memories of from the PS-X era and I had been needing to replace my copy for some years ever since it was stolen (there are others that I'm just as fond of, I'm still working on replacing them). The things I liked most were the innovative combat system, creative character dialog, and interesting story. The only thing I distinctly disliked about the game is that once your characters got to high enough levels trying to build up enough AP for the best attack chains they could unleash was very trying. As for how it compares to others........well, I only directly compare ports of the same game, and this isn't a port and has never had a port so there isn't anything I'm willing to directly compare it to. One other thing though, I don't currently intend to ever buy it again, but that's because I intend to take care of this copy for decades to come.
