Good Board for the budget conscious
This motherboard has the latest AMD CPU socket so you have the ability to chose from a wide range of AMD CPU's. It also has the SB710 southbridge that is essential for unlocking CPU's with multiple cores, such as the Sempron 140 single core that unlocks to an Athlon II x2 4400e dual core. There is one feature that has both good and bad qualities: the board has no integrated video. The good news is that you can pick your card according to your budget and/or performance requirements. The bad news is that the available slots are 3 PCI, 2 PCI-e x1, and one PCI-e x16, which means if you want to run dual video cards for gaming, they have to be PCI-e x1 cards which are, at present, considerably rarer and more expensive than PCI-e x16 cards. Still, it has other features that are quite nice. For instance it has 6 rear powered USB ports and headers for 6 more powered ports in the front. It also has 5.1 surround sound output capability, but it lacks a digital audio jack. While it does have a SPDIF header, adapter brackets are somewhat difficult to find. One other minor negative is that the four ram sockets are slightly too close to the CPU socket to allow for some of the larger CPU heatsinks and still use the first ram socket, though there are cooling units that will fit and still allow the first socket to be used, those coolers are rather expensive. All-in-all, this board is perhaps one of the best value/price units and for all but possibly the most ardent gamers, more than adequate for most applications.

Overall, a good buy, especially at a price well under $300.
Decent bottom line machine. Windows 8.1 is crap of course, but nothing to be done about that. The lay out of the keyboard is quite uncomfortable for typing, but I guess not many people type any more, so that probably won't be a problem. The touchscreen works flawlessly. The computer seems to be quite rugged, as I ride a bicycle as my only transportation and the laptop rides on the rack in a computer shoulder bag and for the couple of weeks I've had it the vibration of riding on the rear rack hasn't caused it to have any problems.
