Scotty 247 Dual Rod Holder Original Tube Style Black

Handy for line stacking

Bought this to use with my Scotty, Depth King, downrigger. I had also purchased the Scotty swivel pedestal. (real handy). To mount this configuration, it was necessary to measure and drill holes into the rod holder. I believe Scotty should have anticipated this type of application and designed the rod holder accordingly.

Sturdy

A bit on the heavy side, but made to last. I put 50# braid on it and was able to calibrate it to within inches at 100ft. Be sure and fill the spool before trying to get it fine tuned. The clicker is loud! I liked the reel enough to also get the cw-153dlx, which has a smaller spool and a better feel.
