5 of 6 found this helpful The glass screen on the top of my iPhone 5 slowly popped up where you could seen the internal parts of the phone beneath it. The phone worked fine but had difficulty with the on/off button engaging. I took it to an Apple store who said my battery had "swollen" and was forcing the glass up. They could fix it for $200.00. Told them I would wait until the new iPhone 7 come out as the phone still worked as I am long out of warranty. Then I watched an You Tube video on how easy it was to change the battery. Bought this kit and in about 10 minutes had the phone ready to charge. All is working fine. You need a magnifying glass to see the small screws and follow the You Tube closely. Only issue with this kit is that the blue device used to lift up the glass screen is made of a material that easily breaks at the tip which goes under the glass. Mine broke and I had to use a razor blade (like to scrap paint off a window) which worked fine but one has to be cautious not to scratch the glass.
