Best Evaporated Milk for cooking
This filled milk product has been around since I was very young - a good 50 years plus! It is evaporated milk but "filled" when reconstituted with oils. My mom cooked with it all the time and I discovered a recipe for fudge on a label. It's the only evap. milk I trust to make fudge with. We get rave reviews from friends and family. The fudge from the Milnot recipe using Milnot (we tried subbing in regular evap. milk - not the same!) is creamy, has a wonderful taste and never fails to be the favorite of anyone who tries it. When used in other recipes that call for evap. milk the same thing happens - creamier texture, wonderful taste! ONLY problem is that it is not widely available in my home state of Michigan anymore! So I always watch for it when traveling or buy it online.
